The Chubby Chart

Not only will I be going on a diet, but so will my cats. After a stern talking to by the vet yesterday, we were told that Nico was "overweight" and Maverick was "morbidly obese." We were then presented with the Chubby Chart, a chart of safe weights and proper caloric intakes per day. Poor Mav is so big that he can't groom himself properly. He looked so miserable when placed on the pet scale. So ashamed.

I, on the other hand, will only be allowed 19 points on my "chubby chart," starting tomorrow. For the past few days, I have been counting what I eat on a normal day, figuring out what the changes are going to have to be. Here are the issues:

1. I HATE to cook. HATE to cook. In fact, I'd rather stick a rusty fork in my eye. So I need to be able to grab easy things on the days that I don't have the time/inclination to make something. Luckily, Au Bon Pain soups are very low in points on the days when I don't make lunch, and WW frozen dinners don't seem to be too disgusting.

2. WW recommends like a gallon of water a day. I have a hard time drinking plain water sometimes. Although they don't recommend it, I will have to drink some Crystal Light in order to get my fluid.

Wish me luck!
