I did not know him well, having only met him a few times in my life. My brother recently moved to an area near him in Pennsylvania, so my father got to visit him more often. He was extremely well read and could trace our family back to the eleventh century. The last time he saw my brother (about a year ago), he took him upstairs and handed him the bound copies of research he had compiled on our family, including handwritten letters from my great-father. I now have the research. I suppose it's my job to continue.

What's striking about this photo is the likeness of him to my father. It is unbelievable how much they looked alike. Odd, because the last time Bob saw my dad, he commented on how much my dad looked like their grandfather. I will have to find find picture of him to compare.

I may not have known him well, but others did. Here are the entries from the guestbook:

I have also known Bob for many years. His knowledge in the hardware field was exceptional. He once said to me if I don't have it you won't need it !!! How right he was. His lock smithing skills were unsurpased. Rest easy Bob I know I'll miss seeing and dealing with you

I had the pleasure of working with Bob, and I will miss him. I loved his stories of his time in the Air Force and other life adventures. He always had something to say that made you laugh. Rest in Peace. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
