Alas, the boys were not crowned the cutest cats yet again this year. They lost to Emma the Cat, whose picture I don't remember. It's alright - they seem to have taken it in stride.
In other contest news, my co-worker SC won the Culkin wine raffle, making her the proud new owner of 25 bottles of wine! I was actually really excited that someone I sold a raffle to won since I had sold so many ($270.00, but who's counting :-)). And the best part is that the money goes to the Culkin School.
I'm FINALLY learning a new set dance, this one is called Blackbird. I think I may actually start competing set dances this year. I was always reluctant in the past mostly because I did not feel comfortable with St. Patrick's Day, the set dance we have been learning/practicing for the past 3 years. I never could seem to remember it. I think it's because I really just don't like it! But Blackbird seems to really click with me - I can remember it quite well, so now it's just matter of actually getting it to look nice.
Add Blackbird to a new slip jig and a new reel, and I'm feeling very good about my new repetoire of competition steps!
